This task is designed to practice budgeting skills, and could be used in KS2 or lower KS3. There are two options for the tasks, page 6 is a general version, and page 7 is an alternative that could be used at the end of Year 6 when discussing starting high school. Students will need to be provided with either store catalogues which feature the items required, or access to the internet to get prices from store websites. I have given students free reign here in how to record their work, but you may wish to give them a template to follow, or some examples. No grading rubric has been attached due to the open nature of the task and the range of students it could apply to, but there is a brief mention to students of how they will be graded on page 9, which should help you start a grading rubric specific to your class.
